- Get close enough to see your horse's face and markings.
- Show one horse. A rider, halter or saddle is fine: we leave them out.

Is the preview really free?
Yes. Upload a photo and see a watercolor-style preview in about a minute, with no card and no sign-up. If you order, we make your portrait at full print size and email you the proof.
What photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo where your horse fills most of the frame. Head shots and side views both work. If a photo won't make a good portrait, the preview tells you why, and after an order we email you and ask for another one before we start.
How is my portrait made?
We create your portrait digitally in a soft watercolor style from your photo, then check it against your photo before you see the proof. It is not hand-painted.
What if it doesn't look like my horse?
Reply to your proof email and tell us what to fix. Changes are free until you're happy. Still don't love it? Cancel for a full refund before you approve it or the reply deadline in your proof email passes, whichever comes first.
What if I don't answer my proof email?
We send reminders first. If we don't hear from you within 7 days of sending your proof (3 days for proofs sent December 1–16), we print it as shown. Each proof email gives the exact date.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel for a full refund before you approve your proof or the reply deadline in your proof email passes, whichever comes first. Just reply to any email from us. Once your portrait is printed we can't take it back, but if it arrives damaged or misprinted, email us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it free, once per order.
When will it arrive?
Your proof usually comes by email within 30 minutes, and always within 24 hours after we have your photo. After approval, most portraits arrive in 4–10 days: 2–3 business days to print, then shipping. Need it sooner? Add rush printing on your proof page.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Enter their address at checkout and add an optional gift note, printed on a card in the box. The proof comes to your email, not to them.
Payment and tax
Your card is saved securely with Stripe so you can add an upgrade from your proof page with one tap. Ohio orders include 6.5% sales tax.
Can I include two horses in one portrait?
Each portrait shows one horse. After you see your proof, you can add a portrait of another horse for 20% off.
Can I keep the halter or bridle?
We leave tack out so the portrait shows your horse, not the gear.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet. US addresses only.
