SaddleBox watercolor portraits are sold by Chomp LLC, an Ohio company. This page explains what we collect when you order a portrait and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address, and the name and shipping address you enter. For a gift, that is your recipient's name and address.
- Your horse's photo, your gift note, and any changes you ask for on your proof.
- For a free preview: your horse's photo, and your email address if you ask us to email the preview to you.
- Your order: what you bought, the price and the tax.
- Payment details. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data, such as your IP address. We use it to keep the site secure and stop abuse.
How we use it
- To paint, print and ship your portrait.
- To make your free preview. If you ask us to email it, we send it once and one reminder the next day, then stop.
- To measure which of our ads lead to orders (see Meta below).
- To email you about your order: your receipt, your proof, reminders and shipping updates.
- To answer your questions.
We do not sell your information.
Companies that help us
Each one gets only what it needs for its job.
- Stripe processes your payment. It also saves your card so you can add an upgrade from your proof page with one tap. We charge the card again only when you tap an upgrade.
- Lumaprints prints and ships your portrait. It gets the portrait and the shipping name and address.
- OpenAI and Anthropic help us paint your portrait and check it against your photo. They get your photo and your change notes. Under their business terms, they do not use them to train their models.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measures our ads. Its pixel on this page uses cookies and tells Meta when you visit, make a preview, start checkout or order. When you order, we also send Meta the order value with your email address and shipping address in hashed (scrambled) form, so it can match the order to an ad you saw.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how visitors use this page (taps, scrolling and page changes) so we can make it easier to use. It hides what you type into form fields, and payment details stay inside Stripe's secure fields, which it cannot see. Microsoft's privacy statement: privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
- Cloudflare delivers this website and protects it from attacks.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this page.
How long we keep it
We keep your order, your photo and your portrait so we can reprint it or answer questions later. We keep order records as long as tax law requires. To have your photo and portrait deleted, email us.
Free previews you do not order are deleted after 30 days, with their photo and any email address you gave us for them.
Cookies
Meta's pixel sets advertising cookies (_fbp and _fbc) to measure our ads. Microsoft Clarity sets cookies (_clck and _clsk) to group your page views into one visit. Stripe uses cookies to prevent payment fraud. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
Children
Our portraits are sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
