Terms of sale

These terms cover portraits you order on this page from Chomp LLC, an Ohio company ("we"). By placing an order, you agree to them. The terms shown when you order apply to that order.

Your photo

• Send a photo you took or have permission to use.
• Each portrait shows one horse. We leave out riders, people, halters and tack.
• If your photo will not make a good portrait, we email you and ask for another one before we start.
• You let us use your photo to make, check and change your portrait.

Your proof

• We email your proof within 24 hours after we have a usable photo.
• Ask for changes as many times as you need until it looks like your horse. Changes are free.
• We print your portrait when you approve the proof. If you do not reply within 7 days of the proof email (3 days for proofs sent December 1–16), we send reminders and then print the proof as shown. Each proof email gives the exact date.
• Each portrait is created digitally in a watercolor style from your photo. Colors on a screen and in print can differ slightly.

Price, payment and tax

• You pay the price shown at checkout. Shipping is free.
• Orders shipped to Ohio include 6.5% sales tax.
• Stripe saves your card so you can add an upgrade from your proof page with one tap: a larger format, an extra copy, another horse's portrait or the digital file. Each shows its price first. We charge the card again only when you tap one.

Printing and shipping

• We print in the USA and ship to US addresses only.
• Printing takes 2–3 business days after you approve. Shipping usually takes 1–7 days.

Cancellations, refunds and damage

• Until your proof is approved (by you, or after the reply window above), you can cancel for a full refund. Reply to any email from us.
• After you approve, we do not give refunds for a change of mind, because each portrait is made for you.
• If your portrait arrives damaged or with a printing defect, email us a photo of it within 7 days of delivery. We will replace it free, once per order.

Who owns the artwork

• You keep the rights to your photo. We keep the copyright in the portrait artwork.
• You may hang your portrait, give it as a gift and share pictures of it online.
• With the digital file, you may also print copies for yourself and your family.
• You may not sell copies of the portrait or use it to advertise a business.
• We show your portrait on our website or in our ads only if you give us permission.

Limits

• If we cannot make or deliver your portrait, the most we owe you is what you paid for it.
• Ohio law governs these terms.
